The link to schedule an appointment for our volunteer income tax assistance program will go live in mid-January.

Once you have your appointment scheduled, you can pick up your envelope at the United Way building at 1458 5th Street NW in New Philadelphia. You’ll drop off your packet for completion at DoverPhila Federal Credit Union’s Administrative Building, and then pick up your completed packet at the United Way building within 10 days of drop-off.

United Way of Tuscarawas County does not run any direct service programs, but we do help fund several assistance programs through partner agencies:

• Rent and Utility Assistance is run through the Salvation Army. You can stop by their building at 809 Emmet Avenue NW in New Philadelphia or call at (330) 364-3811.

• $25 Gas Cards are available through T4C. Please call (330) 343-6012 to make sure you qualify for the program before stopping in to pick up a card.

• Society for Equal Access helps to build ramps for folks in need. Call (330) 343-9292 to see if you qualify for this program.
