Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
In 2019, Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine spearheaded efforts to expand Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to every county in Ohio. The United Way of Tuscarawas County joined as the Local Program Partner for our community in January of 2020! Since then, we have seen nearly 3,500 children graduate from the program, and we currently have over 3,300 children enrolled!
Many thanks to the many donors who have helped to maintain this program: The Doris & Floyd Kimble Foundation; Tuscarawas County Community Foundation; Dover Exchange Club; Dover-New Philadelphia Kiwanis Club; L.J. Smith, Inc.; Dover Hydraulics; New Philadelphia Rotary Club; Dover Rotary Club; and Dennison Rotary Club.
Parents can now enroll their newborns in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library right at the hospital before heading home! As part of their vital statistics paperwork, parents will have the opportunity to sign up their baby to start receiving free books in the mail—one each month from birth to age five.
All Ohio children are eligible until their fifth birthday and can be registered by visiting OhioImaginationLibrary.org.
Before continuing, please check to make sure your child hasn’t already been registered by a parent or caregiver. Duplicate registrations may cause delays in starting the program.
