Dolly Doc at the Drive-In

  • Lynn Drive-In Movie Theatre 9735 State Route 250 NW Strasburg, OH 44680 (map)

Join the United Way of Tuscarawas County for a complimentary showing of “The Library That Dolly Built” (run time of 1 hour and 8 minutes) on Thursday, August 14th at Lynn Drive-In Movie Theatre in Strasburg. The documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of Dolly Parton’s literacy-focused non-profit Imagination Library to show how one of the most famous and beloved performers in the world has developed an efficient and effective program for spreading the love of reading.

The gates will open at 7:00pm, and admission is FREE! The movie will start around 8:30pm, but kids can enjoy lots of fun before the show begins, including Story Time with local librarian Courtney Wallace along with other games and activities. Be sure to snap a selfie with our life-size standup of Dolly Parton! The concession stand will feature a special menu item created just for this event: the Dolly Dog—a chili dog topped with coleslaw. Adults will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for prize baskets, and all proceeds from the event will support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Tuscarawas County. Mark your calendar and make plans to join us for this fun event!
